SEBI has released a consultation paper on reviewing the SEBI (Issue and Listing of Securitised Debt Instruments and Security Receipts) Regulations, 2008. SEBI has proposed making the issuance and transfer of securitised debt instruments (SDI) mandatory in demat form. Further, SEBI has proposed revising the limit on the number of persons to whom an offer or invitation can be made to issue SDI on a private placement basis to 200. Public comments can be submitted by Nov 16, 2024.
