RBI has issued a Master Circular on ‘Board of Directors – UCBs’, consolidating all existing guidelines/instructions issued till date. The master circular discusses the Constitution of BODs of Urban Cooperative Banks (UCBs), the role of directors, board committees, and matters to be placed before the BODs. Further, it discusses norms related to donations to trusts and institutions where directors or their relatives hold positions or are interested and payment of fees and allowances to directors.
