The European Commission has enforced anti-dumping duties on biodiesel imports from China to protect nearly 6,000 EU jobs across over 60 producers in 18 Member States. This decision follows an anti-dumping investigation that determined Chinese biodiesel imports were being dumped, causing harm to the EU biodiesel sector and risking potential plant shutdowns.
The duties apply to biodiesel in both pure form and blended variants but exclude aviation biofuels, specifically Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The imposed duties, ranging from 10% to 35.6%, replace the provisional measures introduced in August 2024.
