The Ministry of Finance has recently introduced the Income Tax Bill, 2025, in the Parliament. The Select Committee is currently examining the bill for detailed consideration. In line with the comprehensive review of the Income-tax Act, 1961, an effort is underway to collect inputs and work on simplifying the associated Income Tax Rules and Forms.
In this regard, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has sought inputs and suggestions from stakeholders on the Income Tax Bill 2025 provisions, which will be compiled and forwarded to the Select Committee for review. A utility has been launched on the e-filing portal. The link is accessible to all stakeholders to submit inputs by entering their names and mobile numbers, followed by an OTP-based validation process.
