Corrigendum to Notification No. 02 of 2024, dated 04-04-2024
The CBDT issues a corrigendum to the notification issued on the time limit to verify Income-tax returns. Through this corrigendum, Para 5 of the notification is amended.
It is clarified that where the return of income is not verified within 30 days from the date of uploading or till the due date for furnishing the return of income as per the Income-tax Act, 1961 -whichever is later – such return shall be treated as invalid due to non-verification.
