34 Lakh+ Tax Audit Reports Filed Till Due Date | Filing Grew at 4.8% Over the Previous Year

On 29-09-2024, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), vide circular 10/2024, extended the due date for furnishing tax audit reports for the Assessment Year 2024-25 to October 07, 2024, from September 30, 2024.

Recently, the CBDT issued a press release appreciating taxpayers and tax professionals for timely compliance with filing Tax Audit Reports (TARs) under Form 10B, 10BB, 3CA-CD, 3CB-CD and other audit reports in Form No. 29B, 29C, 10CCB, etc. More than 34.84 lakh audit reports, including about 34.09 lakh Tax Audit Reports, have been filed for AY 2024-25 on the e-filing portal until the end of the due date. There is an increase of around 4.8% in TAR filing for AY 2024-25 compared to AY 2023-24.

The e-filing Helpdesk team handled approximately 1.23 lakh queries from taxpayers during September and October 2024, proactively supporting taxpayers and tax professionals during the filing period and helping them resolve any complexity.
