FAQ 1. What is CSEET?
CSEET stands for Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test. It is the entrance level examination of the Company Secretary (CS) course conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). A student can enroll for CS Executive exams only after clearing CSEET. The prospectus is available at the link provided here:

FAQ 2. What are the eligibility criteria to appear for CSEET?
Any candidate who has cleared 10+2 from any stream other than fine arts is eligible to appear for CSEET.
All Graduates/ Post Graduates who were hitherto eligible for registration directly to CS Executive Programme, are also required to pass the CSEET to become eligible for registration to Executive Programme.
FAQ 3. What are the various subjects in CSEET?
There are four papers to be studied for CSEET:

- Economic and Business Environment
- Current Affairs, Presentation, and Communication Skills
FAQ 4. What are the passing criteria for CSEET?
An aggregate of a minimum of 50% as well as 40% in each subject has to be secured to clear CSEET. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Test of 120 Minutes duration will be conducted at designated Test Centres. It will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) conducted in MCQ pattern as per the following details:

For Paper 4, part (b) Viva-voce had been introduced for 15 minutes constituting 30 marks. However, in the case of online exam remote proctored mode the viva-voce has been replaced with regular MCQs.
FAQ 5. Who are exempted from giving CSEET?
The following categories of students are exempted from qualifying CSEET and are eligible to seek registration directly to the Executive Programme:

- Company Secretaries Foundation Programme passed students
- ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) Final Course passed students.
- ICMAI (The Institute of Cost Accountants of India) Final Course passed students.
- Graduates (Minimum 50% Marks)
- Post-Graduates
Candidates who have passed the Final Examination of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and/or The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are exempted from CSEET and shall pay Rs. 5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand Only) towards exemption fee at the time of Registration to CS Executive Programme.
FAQ 6. How to prepare for CSEET?
Changes in entrance exams by ICSI by replacing Foundation with CSEET is an initiative to make students well versed with some basic technical and soft skills.
To prepare for the exams, ICSI will provide only a soft copy of the Study Material. Along with that, ICSI publishes monthly journals and newsletters for assisting students’ preparation for this exam. The Reference Reading Material may be downloaded from https://www.icsi.edu/reference-reading-material/.
Apart from institute’s study material, students can refer to reference books and go through YouTube videos for better understanding and clearing exams.
Students also have the option to take classes for CSEET.
Going through past papers and attempting mock tests shall help the students to evaluate their understanding and speed and hence, prepare them for the exams.
FAQ 7. Can a student appear for CSEET even when his/her 12th result is awaited?
Yes, a student can appear for CSEET after appearing or clearing 12 examinations.
FAQ 8. What is the validity of CSEET registration?
A CSEET registration is valid for one attempt only. A student is required to register for CSEET every time he/she appears for the exam. However, there are no restrictions on number of attempts. So a student can appear 4 times a year for CSEET, subject to re-registration and paying a fee of Rs. 1,000 each time.

- All the files to be uploaded while registering for CSEET should be present in one of the formats viz. jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, pdf.
- The maximum allowed file size is 2 MB.
- Step 4: Preview Application.
- Step 5: Click on the “Confirm Application” button after previewing.
- Step 6: Payment Mode Selection.
- Step 7: Transaction Id Generation. Note the Transaction Id for future reference.

On successful payment, candidates will be registered in CSEET and the same will be intimated through email/SMS on the registered email id/mobile number. Candidates can appear for the CSEET as per the schedule sent through email/SMS.
FAQ 10. What is the schedule of conducting CSEET?
The tentative schedule for conducting CSEET is as under:

FAQ 12. How can a student prepare for CSEET for free?
Although not an exhaustive list, but coaching institutes like Unique Academy for Commerce and CScartIndia provide free CSEET videos lectures to all the students on their YouTube Channels. Apart from these, Ekcel Academy, Mohit Agarwal, Yes Academy, Inspire academy, etc. also provide videos on CSEET topics.
