FAQ 1. Are CS Examinations MCQ-based?
CS Examinations are held in three stages – CSEET (Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test), Executive and Professional. The 1st Stage i.e. CSEET examination is MCQ-based; whereas the 2nd Stage i.e. Executive contains some papers of Objective-type.

FAQ 2. How to crack CS Exams in first attempt?
Every CS aspirant desires to pass CS Exams in the first attempt. There are many cases of students who had failed their tenth grade exams, yet have excelled in CS exams in their first attempts. Furthermore, even school/college top performers may suffer a setback in the exam if they lack the necessary intent, determination, and plan of action.
A few steps have been enumerated that can guide a student in clearing CS Exams in his/her first attempt.

FAQ 3. How to prepare for CSEET?
Changes in entrance exams by ICSI by replacing CS Foundation with CSEET is an initiative to make students well versed with some basic technical and soft skills.
To enable students to prepare for the exams, ICSI will provide a soft copy of the Study Material besides the monthly journals and newsletters for assisting students’ preparation for this exam. The Reference Reading Material may be downloaded fromhttps://www.icsi.edu/reference-reading-material.
Apart from Institute’s Study Material, students can refer to other reference books available in the market or access the online resources available along with an option to take dedicated classes for CSEET.
Solving past exam papers and attempting mock tests shall also help the students in evaluating their understanding and speed and hence, prepare them for the exams.
FAQ 4. How to prepare for CS Executive/ Professional Exams?
It requires around 2-3 months to prepare for each module of CS Executive/ Professional Exams. Preparation of exams can be done through self-study with the help of free YouTube Channels or the student can enroll for the Class Room Teaching facility provided by ICSI at its center or can opt for paid CS Executive/ Professional classes online or offline.
Some of the free YouTube channels from where a student can prepare for the CS Executive/ Professional exams are Unique Academy, Study At Home, ArivuPro Academy, CS Exam squad, Mohit Agarwal, Inspire Academy, CS Cart India, CS Exam squad, KCC Tutorials, JK shah Classes, Lawgical Guruji, etc.
A student can also take paid online classes for more detailed coverage of the syllabus. The average fee of online classes for the CS Executive/ Professional Programme varies from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000 for all modules.
FAQ 5. When is a student required to choose the elective subject for Paper 9 of CS Professional Examination?
Paper 9 of CS Professional Examination allows the students to enhance their conceptual, analyzing, evaluating and interpreting skills in an integrated manner.
A candidate is required to select his/her preferred subject for Paper 9 in the application form while registering for CS Professional.
However, if he/she wants to change the selection, then it can be made at the time of filling the examination form.
FAQ 6. Is there any negative marking for wrong answers to MCQs in CS Examinations?
The 1st Stage i.e. CSEET examination is MCQ-based with no negative marking for any incorrect answer.
Further, some papers of CS Executive Examinations are MCQ-based with a negative marking for any wrong answer attempted by the candidates. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.
