SEBI directs Investment Advisors and Research analysts to publish Investor Charter on their websites

With an intent to provide relevant information to investors about the various activities of Investment Advisors (IA) and research analysts, the SEBI has prepared an Investor Charter (IC) for IA and research analysts. IC is a brief document containing details of service provided to investors, their rights, dos and don’ts, grievance handling mechanism, etc. SEBI has also directed all IA and Research Analysts to disclose on their website all complaints latest by 7th of succeeding month.
SEBI has advised the Registered Investment Advisers/ Research analysts to bring to the notice of their clients the Investor Charter by prominently displaying it on their websites and mobile applications. Investment Advisers not having websites/mobile applications shall, as a one-time measure, send Investor Charter to the investors on their registered e-mail address. Additionally, Research Analysts/ Investment advisers have been advised by the SEBI to display links/options to lodge a complaint about them directly on their websites and mobile apps. Additionally, a link to SCORES website/ link to download the mobile app (SEBI SCORES) may also be provided.
