Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission to be exempted under section 10(46): CBDT

Notification No. 30/2022, dated 11-04-2022
The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified ‘Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission’, a Commission constituted by the State Government of Rajasthan for the purposes of clause (46) of section 10 of the Income-tax Act, 1961.
The Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission shall be entitled to exemption with respect to the following specified income:
(a) Petition filing Fees;
(b) License fees; and
(c) Interest earned on the investment.
The exemption is available from 01-06-2020 for the Financial Year 2020-21 and shall apply until financial year 2024-25.
