ICAI Issues Exposure Draft of Guidance Note on Audit of Banks | 2024 Edition

The Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (AASB) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) invites comments from various stakeholders on the Exposure Draft of the “Guidance Note on Audit of Banks (2024 Edition)”. AASB under the authority of the Council of ICAI publishes every year a revised edition of “Guidance Note on Audit of Banks” to provide detailed guidance to auditors on statutory audits of banks and bank branches. The exposure draft is divided into two sections:
- Section A: Statutory Central Audit
- Section B: Bank Branch AuditComments on the Exposure Draft may be submitted via email at aasb@icai.in or by post to the Secretary of Auditing and Assurance Standards Board till 31.12.2023.
