CCI Establishes Southern, Eastern, and Western Regional Offices Along with their Territorial Jurisdiction

In the exercise of power contained in Section 7 of the Competition Act, 2002, the CCI has notified the regional offices along with their locations, effective dates, and territorial jurisdiction.
As per the notification, the Southern, Eastern, and Western Regional offices will be located in Chennai, Kolkata, and Mumbai, respectively. Further, the effective dates for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Regional offices are 26.02.2021, 20.05.2022, and 06.10.2022, respectively.
The Southern Regional Office will exercise jurisdiction over the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and the Union territory of Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
The Eastern Regional Office will exercise jurisdiction over the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura and Union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The Western Regional Office will exercise jurisdiction over the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa, the Union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
