Anti Dumping Duty; Exports

Notification No. 68/2021-Customs (ADD), Dated December 6, 2021

The Government imposed Anti-Dumping Duty (‘ADD’) on import of ‘Flat Rolled Products of Aluminium’ falling under Chapter heading 7606 or 7607 of First Schedule to Customs Tariff Act, 1975, originating in or exported from China w.e.f. December 6, 2021 for a period of 5 years.

The designated authority in its final findings vide Notification No. 6/27/2020-DGTR, dated September 7, 2021, recommended the imposition of an anti-dumping duty on the imports of the impugned goods in order to remove injury to the domestic industry.

The rate of ADD would vary depending upon the producers specified in the notification in this regard. It is also provided that the following products would be excluded from the scope of impugned goods for the purpose of levying ADD:

a) Can-body Stock also includes Can End Stock (CES) used to make aluminium cans

b) Aluminium Foil up to 80 microns.
